Brand Identities

Duinepos in the West Coast National park has been in operation for around 10 years and they approached me to refresh their brand identity. The original logo had some lovely elements but was busy and cluttered with too many typefaces and colours. We aimed to keep the original feeling of the logo, but to clean it up and make modern. I spend some time refining, redrawing and cleaning up their original hand lettering to make it a more readable on-screen. The drawing of the cottage was originally done by someone in the architecture team, but the colours did not reflect the paint on the cottages at Duinepos. I redrew the cottage to be a little bolder and changed its colour to dark oranges and ochre yellows, similar to the paint used on the cottages.

Their existing WordPress site, got a new skin and some custom typography to align it with the new look of the brand.
