Autogrow is a new indoor growing automation company in Cape Town that caters to greenhouses, agriculture, and the emerging cannabis market. The idea of using a sunflower as emblem was suggested by the client in the first meeting. Since autogrow focussed on a few related target markets, I felt that the sunflower can work rather well as a positive neutral emblem for the business. I wanted to represent the mechanical side visually, without losing the warmth or human involvement. Using a yellow gear with rounded corners as the sunflower head we managed to keep the logo friendly and organic. A supporting colour palette and font set from google fonts enabled my client to hand over a considered look and feel to the developers that build their online shop
